Number of moles in gas - Ideal Gas Law - Chemistry problem solver

An ideal gas of 5.2 liters volume is contained at 2.0 atm pressure and at the absolute temperature of 310 K. What is the number of moles in the gas ? (gas constant is 0.08)


volume = 5.2
pressure = 2
absolute temperature = 310
gas constant = 0.08
n =  ( P * V ) / ( R * T )
number of moles = ( 2 * 5.2 ) / ( 0.08 * 310 )
number of moles = 0.4194
So the number of moles is 0.4194

Ideal gas law Formulas :

P =  ( n * R * T ) / V

V =  ( n * R * T ) / P

n =  ( P * V ) / ( R * T )

R =  ( P * V ) / ( n * T )

T =  ( P * V ) / ( n * R )


where,

P = pressure
V = volume
n = number of moles
R = gas constant
T = absolute temperature
