James try to make spheres out of clay. A box of clay contains 25 packs. Each pack is a cuboid measuring 10 cm by 10 cm by 4 cm (i.e length, breadth and height respectively). (a) How many spheres of radius 6 cm can Jack make from a box of clay? (Hint : First find the volume of the clay) (b) A pack of clay has a mass of 500 grams. Work out the density of the clay.

Height = 4
Spheres of radius = 6
Mass = 500
Volume of Cuboid = l * b * h
Volume of Cuboid = 10 * 10 * 4
Volume = 400
Volume = 400 cu.units
Density = Mass / Volume
Density = 500 / 400
Density = 1.25
Density = 1.25
Volume = 400 cu.units

radius = 6
V =  (4/3) * PI * r ^ 3
volume = (4/3) * PI * 6 ^ 3
volume = 26
So the volume is 26
Total Volume of Clay = Number of packs * Volume of a single cuboid clay
Total Volume of Clay = 25 * 400
Total Volume of Clay = 10000 cu.units
Number of spheres = Total Volume / Volume of a Sphere
Number of spheres = 10000 /
Number of spheres is approximately 0
